ALPR law in New Hampshire
New Hampshire regulates automated license plate readers under RSA 261:75-b. The statute caps retention at 3 minutes. New Hampshire has the strictest retention rule in the country: plate data must be purged unrecoverably within three minutes of capture. It may be kept longer only where the read produced an arrest, citation, protective custody, or a missing- or wanted-person broadcast, and then only until the case concludes.
